How do I reserve my spot at The View?

Our goal is to make the process as simple as possible! To reserve your spot at The View, click Apply Now to start your application. Once completed we will send you your lease document to review and sign. Your spot will be reserved once the lease has been signed.

What is an individual lease?

An individual lease means each resident signs their own separate lease agreement.Which means you are only responsible for your rent, your portion of the utilities, and any parking charges. You will not be held responsible should a roommate default on their rent.

How does parking work?

We have reserved and unreserved parking spaces in a secure parking garage for a monthly fee. A reserved parking spot is a specific assigned spot designated for a particular resident. An unreserved parking spot allows you to park anywhere in the parking garage.

How long is the housing contract?

Housing contracts include 12 equal monthly installment payments, beginning in August and ending in July.

Is Roommate Matching Available?

Roommate matching is very popular at our community. Roommate matching enables your student to apply solo for a multi-bedroom apartment as a way to meet new people. Students fill out an in-depth personality questionnaire about their hobbies and lifestyle preferences. We use the answers to best match you with your future roommate and friend!

Can I request a specific roommate?

Yes, you can. Be sure to list your chosen roommate on your online application. It is important that all roommates list each other and that all requests are mutual.

Are pets allowed at The View?

Yes, our apartments are pet friendly, although a pet fee will be required.

Can I have a specific bedroom, on a specific floor, in a specific apartment?

Yes, Yes, and Yes. The more specific you are on your preferences, the better your chances are of receiving exactly what you want. Because we lease on a first time first serve basis, we do not guarantee your preferences. However, we will do our absolute best to get you what you want. In the meantime, the sooner you sign your lease, the better chance you have to be the first to choose from all our incredible apartments.

Am I required to have a guarantor?

All residents are required to have a guarantor however, you have an option to opt out if you are able to self-qualify.

Can I be my own guarantor?

A resident can act as their own guarantor if they can self-qualify. This means, you must show documentation that shows that you meet the proof of income and the credit requirement.

What apartment amenities are included?

Each of our furnished apartments embodies all of the finest qualities of modern living. Our apartment amenities include modern furnishings and urban upgrades, such as quartz countertops; stainless steel appliances; electronic key systems; Euro-style kitchens; Smart TVs in living rooms; bike storage, bike lounge, bike repair center; private bathrooms and bedrooms; washer and dryer units; and high-speed Internet. What is the internet speed?

We know how important high-speed internet is to you. You rely heavily on great internet to complete all your school work. Residents will receive 1Gigabyte to stream Netflix, YouTube, Amazon, Facebook, etc. In addition, each resident will receive wireless internet at 300 Mbps per device. This means you’ll be able to do what at the fastest speed.

How close to campus is the property?

The View on the Square is located less than half a mile from Texas State University. Our properties convenient location makes it easy for our Bobcat Students to walk, bike, or drive to campus without having to worry about being late for class.

When is rent due?

Rent is due on the 1st of the month. You can pay online with a credit card or checking account information. You are also able to pay rent with checks, money orders or any certified funds. Unfortunately, we do not accept cash.

How can I cancel my lease?

We have a relet process that allows you to find a replacement resident to take over the remainder of your lease agreement. Once the new lessee is fully approved, your agreement would then be terminated. Contact the office for more details.

Do you have community events for the residents to mingle and meet?

What is the difference between Standard and Penthouse?

All of our floor plans are the same size. However, Terrace and Penthouse primarily differ due to the floor level and the amenity upgrades in the units. Our Terrace apartments are floor 1-4. Our penthouse option is on the 5th floor. Beyond the breathtaking views of San Marcos, our penthouse upgrades include: exclusive elevator access to the 5th floor, upgraded furniture package in the bedroom, 65” mounted Smart TV in Living Room, 55” mounted Smart TV in Bedroom, Sound Bar in Living Room, Bluetooth shower head, Smart Thermostat, and so much more. No matter which floor plan you choose, get ready to Love Where You Live!

Do you provide a meal plan?

The View on the Square does not provide meal plans for the residents. Each resident is afforded the convenience of a fully equipped kitchen, which gives them the opportunity to cook or microwave their favorite dishes at any time. We are also located on The Square, giving each resident the convenience of walking to ample restaurants like Industry Bar, AquaBrew, Santi Tacos, The Root Cellar Cafe, Café on the Square, and so much more. Not to mention, HEB grocery store is only a couple of blocks away.

Do you offer Valet Trash?

Yes! Each resident will be opted in for this additional amenity for a small fee. You will be provided a waste and recycling bin that you will set our during designated time frames for a representation to pick up 5 nights a week. You and your roommates now have the luxury of not fighting over who needs to take out the trash.

Are the amenities open 24/7?

All of our amenities except the pool deck will be open 24/7. You will be able to enjoy our state of the arts fitness center, our e-sport gaming room, our resident lounge, our study rooms and more 24/7. Stop in whenever your schedule permits.

What is your pet policy?

WE LOVE PETS! We do not have a weight limit. We have an exceptional dog park on site with a dog cleaning station accessible to you 24/7. Please contact the office for questions about breed restrictions. (512) 738-8525
