Breakfast is the foundation of your day. It helps jumpstart your metabolism so you’re less likely to overeat later. Numerous studies show adults who eat a healthy breakfast perform better at work, and kids who eat breakfast score higher on tests! Not much of a morning eater? Keep it light by eating a granola bar, some yogurt, or a piece of fruit.
Exercise is one of the most cited healthy morning habits of successful people. Exercising in the morning gets your blood flowing and gives you the energy boost you need to get through the day. From morning yoga sessions to bike rides, walks, or runs – find what works for you and stick with it. Getting the right amount of sleep has many positive impacts on the brain and body, such as:

Drink Plenty of Water
Water does so many good things for you. Sugar-packed drinks like sodas and juice are linked to obesity and type 2 diabetes. Drinking plenty of water helps your skin stay supple, and may also help you lose weight or simply maintain a healthy weight. Not a fan of plain water? Add some natural flavor with slices of orange, lemon, lime, cucumber, or even watermelon. You can also add a few drops of your favorite water enhancer.
Getting outside means moving your body, which is preferable to parking yourself in front of the TV or computer. A few minutes outside in the sun helps boost your vitamin D levels, which is good for your bones, your heart, and your mood.
Mindfulness can mean meditating or simply sitting quietly for a few minutes to de-stress, whether inside or outdoors. One scientific study found that 8 weeks of regular meditation can actually change the parts of your brain related to emotions, learning, and memory. Learn Something New Each Day
Learning new skills helps keep your brain healthy, and it’s easy to do, especially while you’re in college. Sign up for something you’re never tried, whether it’s a dance class, a workshop on creative writing, or learning a new language. Getting a mental workout helps keep your brain in top condition all through your life.
